Report a wrong amount

Send the page, the calculator’s share link (it holds your inputs and nothing else) and, if you have it, the canada.ca page, CRA notice or Service Canada letter that shows a different figure. A confirmed difference is fixed in the parameter file and added to the tests, as the editorial policy describes.

What we cannot do

We have no access to any CRA or Service Canada file. We cannot check your eligibility, file an application, trace a missing payment or challenge a decision. For your own file, use My Account at the CRA, My Service Canada Account, or call the program directly; in Quebec, Retraite Québec handles the family allowance and the QPP.

Embed the calculator

Community organizations, settlement agencies, seniors’ centres and newsrooms can embed the household benefits calculator for free. The code is on the embed page.

Response time

Usually within five business days, wrong amounts first. Every parameter is reviewed at least every 12 months and at each benefit-year and quarterly change.
