Privacy policy

This policy covers https://mycanadabenefits.com. It follows the fair information principles of the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). The publisher is based in France, so the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies as well; where the two differ, you get the more protective rule.

1. Who is responsible

Radif Partners
49 rue du Ressort
63000 Clermont-Ferrand, France
contact@mycanadabenefits.com

Privacy questions go to contact@mycanadabenefits.com, the person accountable for this policy.

2. What you type never leaves your device

Family net income, working income, the number and ages of your children, your province, your age, a CPP estimate from your Service Canada statement: every figure you enter in a calculator is processed by your own browser. Nothing is sent to a server, stored in a database or linked to your name, SIN or CRA account. We never ask for a social insurance number, a My Account login or a notice of assessment. The share button copies your inputs into the page address: send that link only to people you trust.

3. What is collected

Host logs

GitHub Pages, the host, records the IP address, time, page requested, browser and referring page of each visit, for security and troubleshooting, and keeps them under its own retention policy.

No cookie, no profile

The site sets no cookie, keeps nothing in browser storage, and loads no advertising, audience-profiling or social media script. That is why no consent banner appears.

Cookie-free error monitoring

Microsoft Clarity may be loaded in its cookie-free mode to detect script errors and pages that load badly. In that mode no Clarity cookie is written, each page view gets a throw-away identifier, and page text and form fields are masked so your figures are never recorded. Blocking clarity.ms in your browser turns it off and the calculators keep working.

E-mails

A message sent to us is kept while we answer it and correct any error it reports, then deleted within twelve months.

4. Sharing and storage outside Canada

Nothing is sold, rented or disclosed for marketing. Host logs are processed by GitHub, Inc. in the United States, and Clarity data by Microsoft; both act on our behalf only.

5. Your rights

You may ask what personal information we hold about you (in practice, only an e-mail you sent), or have it corrected or deleted. Write to contact@mycanadabenefits.com; we answer within 30 days. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC): https://www.priv.gc.ca, or, for GDPR matters, to the French CNIL.

6. A result is not a decision

An estimate shown here has no legal effect and does not bind the Canada Revenue Agency, Service Canada or any province.
